13. What evidence of work experience has to be submitted with an application?
All applicants must submit certified copies of work contracts with their application, or official recruitment decision/s if they are government employees, to prove they have the required period of relevant full-time work experience. These documents do not have to be translated into English. All applicants are also required to submit with their application an Employer Reference
11. How is the 24-month relevant work experience requirement be calculated?
The 24-month full-time work experience is calculated from the date of course completion, as shown on the university transcript to the scholarship application closing date. This must be supported by a work contract or official recruitment decision for government employees. All applicants, except Equity of Access applicants, must have 24-month full-time recent relevant work experience in Vietnam
10. If applicants have graduated from a university in an English-speaking country or where the language of instruction is English, do they need to have an IELTS certificate?
Yes, they need to have an IELTS (or TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic) certificate. All applicants, whether at application or as a short-listed candidate following the IELTS selection test, must have a valid IELTS (or TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic) certificate that meets the minimum IELTS (or TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic) requirements for designated application
8. What are the English Language requirements for applications for the selection round for Intake 2024?
* IELTS, TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic certificates will be valid if the tests have been on or after 1 January 2022. Valid certificates if required must be submitted with the online application by 1 May 2023 and will not be accepted if submitted after that date.
7. Can applicants with a Master’s degree apply for a scholarship for a second Master’s degree?
No. Applicants cannot apply for a scholarship for a second master’s degree. However, disadvantaged applicants (person with disability or rural disadvantaged applicants who eligible to the awards’ equity support policy) or applicants from a specified group of central-level agencies could apply for a different field of study from their previous master’s degree. 6. Can employees of international or foreign invested companies apply for a scholarship?
No. Employees of international or foreign-invested companies cannot apply and are ineligible. This includes Vietnamese subsidiaries of foreign companies. Only applicants with disabilities from international companies are considered eligible and can apply if they meet the eligibility criteria.
5. Are persons employed on Government projects but not Government employees eligible to apply for a scholarship?
Yes. If you are working on a Government project at the central, provincial, or district level and are not a Government employee, you are eligible to apply for Australia Awards Scholarships if you meet the eligibility requirements of your respective applicant group (see the Eligibility Criteria section).
